Delos Cloud GmbH – joint venture of Arvato Systems and SAP. It is a sovereign cloud platform designed specifically for the German public sector. It was founded in 2022 as a subsidiary of SAP SE and aims to support the digitalization of public administration in Germany while meeting strict requirements for data protection, IT security, and legal compliance set by the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI). It uses Microsoft Azure stack.

04/2021 – SAP Fioneer – in partnership with investment company Dediq Gmbh. The JV company runs a dedicated Financial Services Industry (FSI) unit. 

1996 - Sapphire Ventures – started as investment arm of SAP under name SAP Ventures. In 2011 the company did a split from SAP and was also renamed. SAP still keeps it presence via co-financing their funds. E.g. in 2021 they contributed to a new Sapphire Ventures fund “SAPPHIRE Ventures Fund VI”.

As follow up on my other blog called SAP’s acquisitions over years I try to collects divestments of SAP too. There are not much information on this topic available on internet. Thus, my guess is that most of information will only be added in future when it will come to selling of assets.

08/2022 – SAP Litmos – VC firm Francisco Partners acquired a corporate learning software business from SAP. SAP Litmos is an online corporate training platform that enables smarter, faster corporate eLearning. The solution is comprised of a powerful LMS (learning management system) and a content-rich training course catalog that make it easy to manage the entire learning program from system implementation and integration to ongoing administration. Litmos company was acquired by CallidusCloud in 2011. Then SAP bought the Litmos as part of its acquisition of U.S. cloud software firm Callidus for $2.4 billion in 2018, rebranding the platform SAP Litmos. The SAP has evaluated that a value propositions and functionalities of the SAP SuccessFactors Learning solution and SAP Litmos solutions overlap. Divesting initiative started in May 2022 as SAP hired adviser to help with this transaction.

07/2020 - Qualtrics IPO - approximately 20 months after its acquisition the Qualtrics is set to go public via preparing its IPO. On 28-Jan-2021 company went public on Nasdaq Global Select Market under the ticker symbol “XM”.

05/2020 - SAP Digital Interconnect - to be acquired by Sinch. The Digital Interconnect division was added into the SAP via to a company called Mobile 365 Inc., which Sybase acquired in 2006. The Sybase became part of SAP when the company bought Sybase in 2010.
